2 - Six feet under opening titles - Izzy Souter

Six Feet Under opening titles
The opening titles are very simplistic and plain. They involve bold images in the background with drab colours and with clear, white and black text. This is due to the fact that is clearly all about death, with dead bodies, crows, graves, hands parting and a man standing at the end of a brightly lit tunnel.

The font used is very simplistic, just like death itself. It is all in capital letters which makes it stand out more and makes it easier for the audience to read. It also moves around the screen a lot and doesn't just stay in the middle of the screen which offers a variety to the audience and makes it a little less boring.

The music used is very sharp and upbeat, therefore it doesn't match what is going on in the scenes. I feel that this is done so that the audience doesn't feel depressed about watching the film even though it is about death.
